2012-2013 CDE Rural Hugh School online CTE Program Update
Barstow Community College Board of Trustees has continued waiving the enrollment fees taken at BCC for eligible concurrently enrolled high school students, up to 10.5 units per semester. This means a student can begin to work on an occupational degree or certificate while still in high school and not worry about the rising costs of enrollment fees.
Barstow Community College is offering online Career Technical Education (CTE) courses in the areas of Accounting, Business Administration, Management, Building Construction Trades Technology, Electrical Technology, Child Development, Computer Business Information Systems, and many others.
What does this mean for your school?
If you are categorized a rural high school by CDE, Barstow College will provide up to $6,000 per semester based on enrollment to eligible California schools to provide participating students tutoring and/or computer lab support and for textbook purchases.
Funding for this program is limited, so time is of the essence!
If your school is interested in participating in the program or for additional information or questions, contact the Career Technical Education department today!
